Salary: TLR 2C + SEN Allowance (negotiable for qualified SENDCOs)

Smart Teachers is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Deputy SENDCO to join a forward-thinking, inclusive secondary school in South East London from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEND practitioner looking to take the next step into leadership within a supportive and high-performing team.
The Role:Lead on the annual EHCP review process for a cohort of students
Support the analysis of SEND data, specialist assessments, and target setting
Collaborate with curriculum leaders to maintain a high-quality inclusive offer at KS3 and KS4
Deliver targeted interventions and model high-quality SEND teaching
Support the professional development of staff working with SEND students
Play an integral role in transition planning across key stages
Hold QTS and a relevant degree
Have a SEND qualification or willingness to undertake one
Demonstrate successful teaching experience across KS3/KS4 (KS2 experience also welcome)
Show knowledge of best practice in SEND provision, differentiation, and curriculum design
Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
Have a strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
A vibrant and inclusive learning environment
A cohesive and supportive SEND team with experienced leadership
