Job summary

The Orpheus Centre in Godstone, Surrey, seeks a Deputy SENCo to lead and coordinate high-quality SEND provision across the college. You will support the Assistant Principal - SENCo, work with families, therapists and local authorities to ensure personalised support and positive outcomes for learners with disabilities.

This full-time, permanent role offers a salary of £35,000 per annum and a 35-hour week across 52 weeks.

Qualifications

• Teaching qualification and solid SEND experience.
• Experience working with young people with SEND.
• Strong knowledge of the EHCP Annual Review process.
• Excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to liaise with families, therapists and local authorities.

Responsibilities

• Deputising for the Assistant Principal - SENCo when required.
• Chair EHCP Annual Review meetings.
• Leading multidisciplinary meetings and coordinating student support strategies.
• Supporting admissions, assessments and transitions for prospective learners.
• Coordinating interventions and targeted support for students.
• Supporting staff through training, guidance and the implementation of effective strategies.
• Monitoring provision to ensure learners progress towards goals.
