Job summary

The Bishop of Winchester Academy is seeking a dedicated Deputy SENCo to lead and support our SEND provision within a thriving Church of England school. You will work with staff, parents and external agencies, coordinating support for pupils with EHCPs and promoting inclusive teaching practices across the academy.

This 37-hour per week, term-time role offers a generous pension, CPD opportunities, and access to excellent facilities near the coast.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in Psychology, SEN, or Child Development.
• English and Maths GCSE at C grade or higher.
• Experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEND in a mainstream setting.
• Knowledge of current practice and developments for pupils with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Providing learning support to students under the direction of the SENCo.
• Coordinating support and provision for students with EHCPs.
• Liaising with staff, parents and external agencies.
• Supporting Learning Support Assistant team to ensure high-quality in-class support.
