Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates is seeking an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager for a permanent role in a Henley-on-Thames nursery. You will support the Manager, reinforce the nursery ethos, and lead by example within a small, well-connected group prioritising staff wellbeing.

The role offers a competitive salary (£32,000), 40-hour weeks across 51 weeks, and benefits including 30 days annual leave and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Childcare or Equivalent is required.
• Experience as a Deputy Manager is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the nursery.
• Support staff in delivering high-quality childcare and early childhood education programmes.
• Supervise and motivate team members, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding children's progress and centre updates.
• Support staff in planning and implementing educational activities suitable for various age groups.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping, rota management, and reporting.

This is a new opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Deputy who wants to help the nursery grow. You'll be supporting the Manager to reinforce the company's ethos and values, and you will set an example for the team.

Our client is a small group of well-connected nurseries with each setting supporting the others. They offer a personal feel to every setting, and prioritise employee well-being.

Competitive Salary - £32,000

Summary:

• 40hrs a week - shifts between 07:30 - 18:00
