Job summary

Willing care is seeking a Deputy Nurse Manager to provide visible clinical leadership and support to the Home Manager for the safe operation of the service.

You will oversee personalised care planning, safeguard residents, and ensure compliance with CQC standards while developing nursing teams and maintaining high-quality dementia care. The role is supernumerary and resident-focused, with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • RGN or RMN with an active NMC registration.
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Nurse Manager or in a similar senior nursing position within a nursing home or comparable care environment.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and confidence supporting residents with nursing and dementia care needs.
  • Good understanding of CQC requirements and regulatory standards within nursing homes.
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge, including confidence identifying concerns and following appropriate referral pathways.
  • Experience supporting and developing nursing and care teams.

  • Identify safeguarding concerns and ensure appropriate referral pathways are followed.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.
  • Monitor the quality of care and contribute to audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support nurses and care colleagues with their ongoing development and clinical practice.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, visitors and external healthcare professionals.
  • Promote a culture where quality, dignity and residents' individual choices remain central to everyday care.
  • A compassionate, resident-focused approach with a commitment to personalised care.

Job description

As Deputy Nurse Manager, you'll work in a supernumerary capacity, giving you dedicated time to focus on clinical leadership, quality and team development. Requirements
  • All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, an enhanced DBS check, verification of the right to work in the UK, NMC registration checks, and any other pre-employment checks required for the role.
  • RGN or RMN with an active NMC registration.
