Peters Dean Care Ltd is seeking a Deputy Manager to oversee three supported accommodation homes for young people aged 16–18 across Bognor Regis and Worthing. You will work closely with the Manager, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality support while travelling between sites.
You’ll lead safeguarding, plan audits, and support the team to deliver consistent care. A leadership or health and social care qualification is preferred, with a full driving licence and vehicle required.
We’re looking for a Deputy Manager who can bring experience, initiative and a genuine passion for helping young people build a bright future.
You’ll be joining a growing supported accommodation service providing homes for young people aged 16–18 across Bognor Regis and Worthing.
Working closely with the Manager, you’ll help oversee three homes, support the staff team and make sure young people receive consistent, high-quality support.
These are important years in a young person’s life, and the right support can make a real difference as they develop confidence, learn practical life skills and work towards independence.
A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as you’ll travel between the three homes and participate in the on‑call rota.
You’ll support Team Leaders and Support Workers, keep an eye on standards across the homes, oversee safeguarding and incidents, and ensure records, support plans and audits are completed to a good standard.
You’ll also help develop the team, tackle day‑to‑day challenges and identify where things can be improved.
We’re looking for someone who is happy to take ownership, use their initiative and lead by example, while knowing when to involve the Manager.
You’ll ideally have experience in supported accommodation, residential childcare or a similar social care setting, along with previous senior or supervisory experience.
You’ll be organised, approachable and confident supporting staff, managing competing priorities and dealing with challenging situations.
Most importantly, you’ll understand the importance of safeguarding, building positive relationships and helping young people move towards a more independent life.
A relevant leadership or health and social care qualification would be an advantage.
