Sgscare in Burgess Hill is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager for their children’s residential home. You will lead shifts, support staff, and maintain compliance in a nurturing environment for children and young people facing emotional and behavioural challenges.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in children's residential care, including supervising staff, and hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. A strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted regulations is essential.
The position offers competitive pay starting from £38,602.40 per annum plus benefits, including a pension scheme and free training.

Salary: Starting from £38,602.40 per annum inclusive of night payments, plus benefits
Working Hours / Shift Pattern: Average 42 hours per week on a 5-week rolling rota (2 days on, 3 days off)
Employment Type: Permanent
Sleep-ins: Required as part of the rota (night payments included within salary)
Service: Children’s Residential Home
Service Users: Children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs, mental health needs, learning disabilities, autistic behaviours, child sexual exploitation risks, and complex safeguarding needs
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Applicants without this qualification may be supported to complete it
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years’ experience within children’s residential care within the last 5 years, including at least 1 year supervising or managing staff within a care setting. Strong Ofsted knowledge required
