Job summary

Career Makers is recruiting an experienced Deputy Manager for a luxury residential and dementia care home in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. You will support the Registered Manager, lead a stable care team and uphold exceptional resident care and service delivery.

The role offers full-time hours, a salary between £35,000 and £50,000 per year depending on experience, and generous benefits including paid leave, parking, DBS checks, and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous Deputy Manager experience in a care home setting.
• Level 4 or 5 Health & Social Care qualification, or willingness to work towards.
• Strong leadership and team supervision abilities within dementia care environments.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the care home and ensure high standards of dementia care.
• Supervise and support staff, ensuring compliance with CQC standards and safeguarding procedures.
• Oversee care plans, risk assessments and medication management to safeguard residents' wellbeing.
