Job summary

Dimensions Ltd. is seeking a Deputy Locality Manager to lead and develop support teams across Bath and surrounding areas. This full-time, off-rota role emphasizes safeguarding, person-centred planning and budget-conscious management to ensure high-quality support.

The successful candidate will work alongside the Locality Manager, with weekend availability essential and a clear path to Locality Manager opportunities. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autistic people and/or people with mental health needs.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop colleagues.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative and make appropriate decisions.
• Knowledge of risk management and safeguarding considerations.
• Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
• Clear communication and ability to build effective working relationships.
• Willingness to work across Bath and surrounding areas, including weekends.
• Willingness to complete management development training as required.
• Holds or is willing to work towards relevant qualifications where required.
• Has a full UK driving licence and access to transport.

As a DeputyLocality Manager, you'll receive support, training and development to build your management skills. The role can also provide a pathway towards Locality Manager opportunities.

About the role

You'll work alongside the Locality Manager, helping to lead and develop support teams across Bath and the surrounding areas and ensuring people receive high-quality, personalised support.

This is a fully off-rota management role. You'll focus on delegated management responsibilities and deputise for the Locality Manager when required. Weekend availability is essential to meet the needs of the locality.

You'll help:

• Lead, motivate and develop support teams

• Develop and oversee rotas around the needs and wishes of the people we support

• Support safeguarding, quality and regulatory compliance

The DeputyLocality Manager role includes delegated responsibility for areas including rota management, team development, compliance, safeguarding and financial management.

About you

You'll already have experience supporting people with a range of needs and be ready to build on your leadership skills.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autistic people and/or people with mental health needs
• Has the confidence to lead, motivate and develop colleagues
• Can work independently, use initiative and make appropriate decisions
• Has experience or understanding of risk management
• Understands the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
• Communicates clearly and builds effective working relationships
• Can work flexibly across Bath and surrounding areas, including weekends
• Is willing to complete management development training
• Holds, or is willing to work towards, relevant qualifications where required
• Has a full UK driving licence and access to transport
