Job summary

Dimensions is seeking an experienced Locality Manager to support people across New Milton and Lymington. You will lead four established locations and grow to five, ensuring person-centred care and high-quality support.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will develop teams, oversee health and wellbeing, compliance with CQC/CSSIW, and build strong partnerships with the Behaviour Support Team while delivering compassionate leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing a team, setting objectives and ensuring goals are met.
  • Knowledge and understanding of CQC/CSSIW regulations.
  • Experience delivering services in compliance with contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure person-centred care plans and health action plans are regularly reviewed and implemented.
  • Ensure health and wellbeing of the people we support, in line with CQC/CSSIW Guidelines and Dimensions' policies.
  • Deliver effective risk assessments and emergency plans to ensure the people we support are safe.
  • Make sure staff are trained and motivated to provide high quality support.
  • Ensure the service meets all organisational and statutory requirements and complies with guidelines and policies.
  • Handle complaints in line with policies.

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Locality Manager to join our team, supporting people across New Milton and Lymington.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to‑day management of four established locations, with this expected to increase to five in the future. Our settings include a number of single‑person homes, supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, some of whom may experience behaviours of distress.

You’ll lead by example, providing strong, positive leadership to our well‑established teams and creating an environment where colleagues feel supported, valued and empowered to provide outstanding, person‑centred support.

Working closely with our Behaviour Support Team and other colleagues, you’ll help ensure each person receives consistent, high‑quality support tailored to their individual needs. You’ll build on the great work already taking place, maintaining strong teams while continually looking for opportunities to develop and improve the support we provide.

About the role
  • Ensure person‑centred care plans and health action plans are regularly reviewed and implemented
  • Ensure the health and wellbeing of the people we support, in line with CQC/CSSIW Guidelines and Dimensions' policies
  • Deliver effective risk assessments and emergency plans to ensure the people we support are safe
  • Make sure your staff team are appropriately trained and motivated to provide high quality support
  • Ensure the service meets all organisational and statutory requirements and complies with Care Quality Commission Guidelines and our own standards, policies and procedures
  • Make sure complaints are dealt with in line with our policies
About you

Most importantly, you want to make a difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities or autism. To do that, you’ll have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of CQC / CSSIW regulations
  • Experience of managing a team, setting objectives and ensuring goals are met
  • Experience in delivery of services in compliance with contracts
  • Experience of managing supported living services or similar - and be familiar with performance management processes
  • Completed, or be willing to undertake, Management Development training

Beyond those qualities, you’ll also be:

  • An excellent communicator, looking to mentor and motivate your team to provide person‑centred support
  • Able to prioritise your workload, delegate tasks and meet deadlines
  • Focused on the needs of internal and external customers, from the people we support, right through to your team and other members of the organisation
