Job summary

Dimensions is seeking a Deputy Locality Manager to lead support teams across Bath and surrounding areas, ensuring high-quality, personalised care for people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. This is a fully off-rota management role with weekend availability essential.

You will deputise for the Locality Manager, develop rotas, and build strong relationships with families while ensuring safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health needs.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop colleagues.
• Understanding of risk management and safeguarding requirements.
• Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.

Responsibilities

About the role

You'll work alongside the Locality Manager, helping to lead and develop support teams across Bath and the surrounding areas and ensuring people receive high-quality, personalised support.

This is a fully off-rota management role. You'll focus on delegated management responsibilities and deputise for the Locality Manager when required. Weekend availability is essential to meet the needs of the locality.

You’ll help:

• Promote people's rights, choices, dignity and independence

The Deputy Locality Manager role includes delegated responsibility for areas including rota management, team development, compliance, safeguarding and financial management.

About you

You'll already have experience supporting people with a range of needs and be ready to build on your leadership skills.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autistic people and/or people with mental health needs
• Has the confidence to lead, motivate and develop colleagues
• Can work independently, use initiative and make appropriate decisions
• Has experience or understanding of risk management
• Understands the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
• Communicates clearly and builds effective working relationships
• Can work flexibly across Bath and surrounding areas, including weekends
• Is willing to complete management development training
• Holds, or is willing to work towards, relevant qualifications where required
• Has a full UK driving licence and access to transport
