Job description

Come and join our One Great Team here at Haven as a Deputy Kitchen Team Manager!

Role Overview:

As part of our full-time, permanent Food & Beverage Leadership Team, you will:

  1. Support the Kitchen Team Manager with the day-to-day operation of our restaurant's kitchen, following standard operating procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
  2. Deliver performance targets against budget, manage stock, margins, and cost control.
  3. Assist with administrative tasks including team rotas, safety, and legislative compliance checks.
  4. Drive continuous improvement, provide solutions to issues, and set growth goals.
  5. Lead and coach the team to work productively and develop professionally.
  6. Engage and inspire the team to be guest-focused.
  7. Recruit and train new team members.
  8. This is a hands-on role where you will cook approximately 85% of your time, while also ensuring kitchen standards on health, safety, and hygiene are maintained.

    Experience and Qualifications:

    • Proven experience leading large teams in a fast-paced kitchen or similar environment.
    • Experience in managing operations, performance, resources, and cost control.
    • Ability to confidently handle guest concerns and resolve issues.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
    • Strong decision-making abilities.
    • Level 3 Food Hygiene Qualification.
