The Governors, staff and pupils of Priors Field Primary School warmly invite applications for the post of

Deputy Headteacher, to start on September 1st 2025.

The successful candidate will join our school family and play a key role in working closely with our new

Headteacher in leading improvement within the school, with specific responsibility for Teaching & Learning,

Curriculum & Assessment as well as lead on a core subject. You will be required to teach a class for 3 days

a week, but will be supported by 2 days per week management time plus additional time for leadership of your core subject.

We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who:

• Has a passion for Teaching and Learning and is able to maintain and build on the school’s strengths
  
  
  

while inspiring the school community towards even higher standards.

• Is a leader who knows how to develop staff to move them on so that our children are always getting
  
  
  

the very best education.

• Is interested in curriculum development and looking at new and innovative ways to make sure that
  
  
  

school is a creative, magical and inspirational place.

• Places the welfare and safety of children and adults at the heart of everything, with experience in
  
  
  

and a commitment to rigorous safeguarding procedures.

• Is an excellent communicator, capable of building strong relationships with children, staff, parents,
  
  
  

governors, and the wider community.

• Is organised and can quickly adapt to changing circumstances and handle such changes with
  
  
  

professionalism.
