Job description

Deputy Headteacher (Quality of Education)

We are seeking a Deputy Headteacher to join Norton College in Tewkesbury. The role involves supporting the Headteacher in leading and managing the school to promote effective education and care, and contributing to the learning and well-being of students.

Location: Norton College, Tewkesbury, GL20 8UQ

Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum depending on experience (not pro rata)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8.30am-4.00pm

Contract: Permanent, Term time only

About the Role

The post holder will support the Headteacher with school leadership, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, developing the curriculum, and managing staff to achieve high standards. Responsibilities include curriculum planning, staff development, and supporting the school's continuous improvement through self-evaluation and external benchmarks.
