Job summary

Benedon Health Care Limited is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead care services in Birmingham. You will work with the Registered Manager to ensure safe, person-centred care and supervise the care team to maintain high standards.

Role involves rostering, staff development, risk assessments, care planning and liaising with families and professionals. The position is full-time, permanent, offering £32,000-£35,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in health or social care, including domiciliary care.
• Experience as Deputy Manager, Care Coordinator or Senior Care Worker.
• Experience supervising or managing care staff.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Experience using Birdie or similar digital rostering platform.
• Experience invoicing or billing in a care setting.
• Understanding of safeguarding, risk management and CQC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day service management.
• Assist with staff recruitment, induction and training.
• Manage staff rotas and ensure safe staffing levels.
• Prepare and review care plans and risk assessments.
• Deputise for the Registered Manager during periods of absence.
• Liaise with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
