Job summary

Purosearch Ltd in Devon is seeking an experienced Field Care Supervisor / Care Manager to lead domiciliary care services across Dawlish, Newton Abbot and surrounding areas. The role combines hands-on supervision with building strong relationships with clients, families and care staff.

You will review care plans, supervise staff, support recruitment, and ensure high standards of person-centred care. A Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification, supervisory experience, and a valid driving licence

Responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and compassionate Field Care Supervisor / Care Manager to join a developing domiciliary care provider based in Devon, supporting clients and care teams across Dawlish, Newton Abbot and the surrounding areas.

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys being out in the community, building strong relationships with clients and care staff, and making sure the highest standards of care are consistently delivered.

About the role

As our Field Care Supervisor / Care Manager, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day running and quality of our care services.

Working closely with the Branch Manager and wider team, you will help ensure our clients receive safe, reliable and genuinely person‑centred care, while providing guidance and support to our wonderful team of Care Professionals.

Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out regular care and support reviews with clients and their families.

Completing spot checks, competency assessments and observations of care staff.

Supporting the development and implementation of care plans and risk assessments.

Providing guidance, supervision and support to Care Professionals in the field.

Building positive relationships with clients, families, health professionals and other key stakeholders.

Responding appropriately to changes in clients' needs and escalating concerns when required.

Supporting the recruitment, induction and ongoing development of care staff.

Monitoring care delivery and ensuring company policies, procedures and regulatory standards are followed.

Supporting with on‑call duties and out‑of‑hours requirements, where applicable.

Helping to maintain excellent communication between the office, care team, clients and their families.

Taking an active role in maintaining and improving the quality of our service.

We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced within domiciliary care or a similar care environment.

Confident supervising and supporting care staff.

Passionate about providing high‑quality, person‑centred care.

Organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities.

A confident communicator who can build rapport with clients, families and colleagues.

Comfortable working independently and making decisions in the field.

Knowledgeable about safeguarding, risk management and good care practice.

Compassionate, approachable and willing to go the extra mile.

Comfortable using care management systems and completing accurate records.

A car driver with access to a vehicle, as regular travel between clients and services will be required.

A relevant Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care and previous supervisory experience would be highly desirable. Experience in a care management or senior care role is an advantage, but we are also interested in hearing from experienced Senior Care Professionals who are ready to take the next step in their career.
