Job summary

DPD is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to strengthen our depot operations management team in Dudley. You will lead a high-performing shift to meet targets for core routes and SPR while keeping deliveries safe, timely, and efficient.

You will coordinate with drivers, manage resources for ad-hoc collections, and ensure accurate documentation. This role emphasizes KPI-driven leadership, problem solving, and effective communication to support continuous improvement.

• Skilled in reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure depot target for Core Routes is achieved.
• Ensure depot target Stops Per Route (SPR) is achieved.
• Ensure all delivery & collection routes are properly set.
• Ensure drivers scan and load their vans for delivery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain ongoing communication with drivers to resolve issues.
• Arrange resources to guarantee ad-hoc collections via drivers or couriers/agencies.
• Complete all relevant documentation and systems accurately per company and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and monitor KPIs across Service, Cost, Productivity, Transport and Health & Safety.
• Achieve Depot Clear in line with depot targets.
