Job summary

Core Highways is seeking a Depot Manager at Winchester to lead the depot team, ensuring safe, efficient delivery of services and compliance with Health and Safety policies. The role requires strong leadership, budget awareness, and clear communication to coordinate with customers, local authorities and colleagues.

The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement in operations, staff development and cost control, with day-to-day responsibility for depot performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in an operational environment.
• Experience in construction/utilities/highways/traffic management.
• Ability to manage against budget and control costs.
• Demonstrated leadership in comparable roles.
• Excellent people and communication skills with the ability to lead by example.
• Self-motivated with strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the depot team to ensure safe and efficient delivery of services.
• Uphold Health, Safety and Welfare of employees and others affected.
• Implement policies under Area/Regional management focus on safety.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, authorities and the team.
