The Department of Translational Neuroscience and Stroke is focused on advancing scientific knowledge to improve patient recovery and education through teaching and supervision. The Department of Neuroinflammation is renowned for MS research, employing diverse methods including clinical trials.

We seek an experienced administrator to support the Translational Neuroscience, Stroke, and Neuroinflammation departments at UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology. You will assist the Departmental Administrator (DA) and provide senior-level support to PIs, staff, and students.
Your duties will encompass daily operations, financial, HR, research governance, and project management, utilizing systems like MyFinance, Axiom, WorkTribe, and MyHR. You will also lead special projects for department heads and the DA.
This role offers hybrid working with at least 40% on-site presence.

You should have at least A-Level or NVQ Level IV administrative education or equivalent experience. An interest in financial management, experience with financial systems, and handling research grants are essential. You must have substantial administrative experience within large organizations like universities or the NHS, with a proven ability to design and maintain efficient management systems.
The role requires interaction with diverse internal and external stakeholders, demanding a proactive, organized, professional, and collaborative approach with problem-solving skills.
