We are recruiting an experienced administrator to support the Translational Neuroscience and Stroke and Neuroinflammation departments at the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology. You will work closely with the Departmental Administrator (DA) to provide senior-level administrative support to the DA, Principal Investigators, staff, and students.
Your responsibilities include managing daily operations, financial, HR, and research governance tasks. You will handle financial transactions, procurement, and grant applications using systems like MyFinance, Axiom, WorkTribe, and MyHR. Additionally, you will lead special projects for the Heads of Research Department and/or DA.
This position offers hybrid working with at least 40% on-site presence.

You should have at least an A-Level or NVQ Level IV qualification in administration, or equivalent professional experience. An interest in financial management and experience with financial systems and research grants are essential. You should bring substantial administrative experience from a large, complex organization such as a university or NHS, and have a proven ability to design, implement, and maintain efficient management information systems and procedures.
The role involves interacting with many internal and external stakeholders and requires a proactive, highly organized, and efficient individual with a professional attitude, helpfulness, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
