Job summary

Brierfield Dental Practice in Blackburn is seeking an experienced Dental Receptionist or a Dental Nurse with reception experience to join our friendly front-of-house team. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, and you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth patient journey from enquiry to treatment.

We value excellent communication, a welcoming manner, and the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Has previous dental reception experience, or is a Dental Nurse with reception experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Confident, friendly and professional with patients.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and providing excellent customer service.
• Managing appointments, diaries, patient records and payments.
• Answering telephone and online enquiries.
• Converting enquiries into appointments where appropriate.
• Discussing treatment options, finance and membership plans confidently.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Liaising with clinicians and the wider practice team.
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the reception area.
• Promoting practice services and membership plans.
• Supporting social media, marketing and patient engagement initiatives.
