Job summary

Acorn Dental Practice in Hedge End, Southampton, seeks a confident Clinic Manager to lead a four-surgery team with flexible 32-hour hours and a focus on patient care, efficiency, and growth. You’ll work closely with clinicians to maintain smooth daily operations and an exceptional patient experience.

The role offers flexible start/finish times, a strong support network and opportunities to implement new processes within a growing dental group led by Envisage Dental.

Clinic Manager - Acorn Dental Practice

Acorn Dental Practice is looking for a confident, people-focused Clinic Manager to join our established team in Hedge End, Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced dental manager looking for flexibility and genuine work-life balance, while having the opportunity to make a real impact on a practice entering an exciting new chapter. We are open to 4 or 5-day working pattern and can offer flexibility around start and finish times for the right candidate, whether that’s to accommodate school runs, hobbies or other interests outside of work.

About Us

Acorn Dental Practice is a well-established 4-surgery practice across two floors, with a strong reputation and an experienced team at its heart. Having recently joined Envisage Dental, a B Corp-certified organisation, the practice is now entering an exciting new chapter, combining its established roots and strong patient relationships with the support, expertise and opportunities of a growing dental group. Following an incredible 35 years of leadership from our current Clinic Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for a new leader to step in and make their mark. The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially aware manager who wants to make a genuine difference. You’ll work closely with clinicians and the wider team to ensure the practice runs smoothly, while focusing on patient experience, operational performance, team development and continued growth. We’re looking for a real doer someone who takes ownership, gets stuck in and isn’t afraid to make decisions. You’ll have the opportunity to introduce new ideas, improve processes, and help shape the next chapter of Acorns.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the practice team day to day
• Maintain a positive, supportive and high‑performing culture
• Oversee operational processes and ensure smooth practice workflows
• Support an exceptional patient journey and front‑of‑house standards
• Assist with rota co‑ordination and team organisation
• Monitor practice performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support recruitment, onboarding and team development
• Ensure compliance and high standards across the practice
• Support practice growth and continuous improvement initiatives
• Build strong relationships with clinicians and the wider Envisage Dental team
• Lead by example and be willing to get involved wherever needed
