Job summary

PortmanDentex is recruiting a motivated Practice Manager to lead our Bath-based dental practice. You will oversee daily operations, drive patient service excellence, and manage a team across the 3-surgery site, while collaborating with business partners on growth and performance.

The role requires strong leadership, service orientation, and comfort with P&L and budgets. Full-time hours with a competitive salary and a supportive operations team.

Qualifications

• Healthcare/retail/serice background preferred.
• Experience leading a team in a healthcare or dental environment is a plus.
• Comfortable working with financials and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the practice team to deliver great service.
• Oversee practice operations for equipment, facilities, and compliance.
• Act as Registered Manager and support practice growth with partners.

• Full-time hours available, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday -32 hours over 4 days

• Supportive and collaborative operations manager and business partners, assisting with overall practice growth and management

Please note that as part of your role, you’ll be the Registered Manager for this practice.

About You

We’d love to receive your application to our Practice Manager vacancy if you have the following skills and experience:

• A healthcare, retail, hospitality, or similar service-focused background - experience managing a dental practice or strong leadership experience as a lead dental nurse is an added bonus, but not essential
• Passionate about delivering great service
• Leading and supporting colleagues to perform at their best
• Confident working with financials (P&L, KPIs, budgets)
• Focused on delivering operational excellence: from fully-functioning equipment and facilities, to a compliant, process-driven practice team
