Job summary

Melior Associates Ltd is seeking an experienced Demolition Supervisor to join a Southampton-based team delivering demolition, strip-out and enabling works on a variety of projects along the South Coast.

You will supervise site operations, lead labour and subcontractors, maintain safety and programme compliance, and report daily progress while upholding high standards of housekeeping and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Demolition Supervisor on demolition projects.
• Strong knowledge of demolition methods, temporary works and site safety.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• CCDO Supervisor Card preferred.
• First Aid at Work certificate.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervising demolition and strip-out operations on site.
• Managing site labour, plant operators and subcontractors.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
• Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Monitoring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Liaising with Site Managers, Contracts Managers, clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinating plant, equipment and material deliveries.
• Completing daily records, site reports and progress updates.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and environmental compliance.

Demolition Supervisor - Southampton

Are you an experienced Demolition Supervisor looking for your next opportunity with a well-established and growing demolition contractor?

Our client is a respected demolition and enabling works specialist delivering projects across Hampshire, Dorset, Sussex and the wider South Coast. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Demolition Supervisor to join their Southampton-based team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of demolition, strip-out, remediation and enabling works projects ranging from £100k to 2m+.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising demolition and strip-out operations on site
• Managing site labour, plant operators and subcontractors
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
• Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Monitoring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
• Liaising with Site Managers, Contracts Managers, clients and stakeholders
• Coordinating plant, equipment and material deliveries
• Completing daily records, site reports and progress updates
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and environmental compliance

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Demolition Supervisor within the demolition sector
• Strong knowledge of demolition methods, temporary works and site safety
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
• CCDO Supervisor Card (preferred)
• First Aid at Work certificate
• Ability to lead and motivate site teams
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

• Experience working on commercial, industrial and residential demolition projects
• Asbestos awareness training
• Temporary Works Supervisor qualification
• CPCS or NPORS Plant qualifications
