Job summary

Harrods, a world-famous luxury department store in London, is hiring a Demand Planning Assistant for the Homewares team. You will support the Demand Planner to maintain forecasts, fulfilment, and stock across stores, online channels, and regional sites, helping improve availability and drive commercial performance.

You will work with Buying, Merchandising, Retail and Supply Chain, build relationships with suppliers, and use data to identify opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Demand Planning, Merchandising, Buying, or similar retail support role.
• Strong Excel and PC skills; SAP experience is a plus.
• Excellent numeracy, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of demand forecasts and fulfilment plans across multiple retail channels.
• Monitor forecast accuracy, analyse performance reports, and help identify opportunities to improve planning effectiveness.
• Manage replenishment and master data within SAP, ensuring accuracy and supporting optimal inventory levels.
• Coordinate stock management activities, including purchase order administration, supplier communications, delivery tracking, and issue resolution.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support forecasting, fulfilment, and overall business performance.

Join our Homewares team as a Demand Planning Assistant, helping to ensure the right products are available at the right time while supporting sales performance, forecasting accuracy, and inventory optimisation across multiple retail channels.

About the Role

As a Demand Planning Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Demand Planner to maintain accurate forecasting, fulfilment, and stock management across the Homewares category. Working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Retail, and Supply Chain teams, you will help drive planning accuracy, improve product availability, and support the smooth flow of stock across stores, online channels, and regional sites. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, building relationships, and contributing to commercial performance within a fast-paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the development and maintenance of demand forecasts and fulfilment plans across multiple retail channels.
• Monitor forecast accuracy, analyse performance reports, and help identify opportunities to improve planning effectiveness.

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working - this is what we refer to as 'Hybrid'. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

About You

You’ll also have:

• Experience in a Demand Planning, Merchandising, Buying, or similar retail support role.
• Strong Excel and PC skills, with experience using SAP considered highly advantageous.
• Excellent numeracy, communication, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
