Job summary

John Lewis is launching a 3-month Trainee programme to become a fully qualified Customer Delivery Technician with a C1 driving licence. As a Driver Technician Trainee you will join a 2-person delivery crew, bringing our service to customers’ doors and installing products in their homes.

The role includes heavy lifting, loading deliveries, and installing items such as TVs and large appliances. Full training and ongoing support are provided while you complete the programme.

Qualifications

• UK B-category manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of technology and an interest in installation.
• Desirable: installation and customer delivery experience.
• Desirable: previous team leader or role-model experience.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service.
• Perform daily checks and assist loading the vehicle with deliveries.
• Respect customers' home and find solutions for issues.
• Install products (TVs, appliances) efficiently for customers.
• Keep up to date with new products and technologies.
• Adhere to driving regulations and Working Time Directive.
• Heavy lifting and delivering large items.
