Job summary

John Lewis is seeking a Driver Technician Trainee in the UK to complete a 3-month training programme and become a qualified Customer Delivery Technician with a C1 licence. The role requires a B-category driving licence, customer-facing experience, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must have UK B-Category driving license with no more than 6 points.
• Experience in a customer-facing role is essential.
• Good verbal communication and a clear phone manner are required.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service.
• Load and unload deliveries, assist with vehicle checks, and work with the warehouse team.
• Install products at customers' homes, including TVs, appliances and furniture pieces.
• Treat customers' homes with care and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Stay up to date with products and technology relevant to the role.
• Follow driving regulations and Working Time Directive for safe operations.
• Heavy lifting is involved; expect to deliver large items like sofas and appliances.
