Job summary

SP Energy Networks, part of the Iberdrola Group, is seeking a Project Manager to lead major Connections and Investment projects in Scotland. You will manage end-to-end delivery, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery while working with customers, authorities and contractors across a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires governance, commercial awareness and strong stakeholder engagement, with a focus on delivering value and achieving project objectives within budget.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification or equivalent in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or related discipline.
• Project Management qualification such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience delivering projects with a strong performance ethos and track record of success.
• Knowledge of regulatory environment, contract and commercial awareness.
• Strong planning, financial control, contractor and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Connections or Investment projects from initiation through to completion.
• Manage project execution plans, schedules, budgets, resources and risk registers.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with scope, milestones and financial targets.
• Drive project performance through planning, monitoring, reporting and control mechanisms.
• Manage project change processes and governance requirements.
• Build relationships with customers, authorities, contractors, consultants and internal teams.
• Manage customer expectations while maintaining delivery objectives.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with SPEN policies, CDM regulations and industry standards.
• Promote a strong safety culture and embed SHEQ requirements.
