Job summary

SP Energy Networks is seeking a Project Manager to deliver major capital investments and customer connections across the SP Manweb licence area. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage contracts, and ensure outputs are delivered on time, on budget and to required standards.

The role emphasizes governance, risk control, and continuous improvement within a regulated energy environment, offering a clear career progression path and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HNC in a relevant engineering/construction/project management discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering construction or infrastructure projects, preferably in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and project control disciplines.
• Experience in cost forecasting, change control, risk/opportunity management, and performance reporting.
• Experience in contract and commercial management.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation for construction (CDM 2015).
• Familiarity with project planning and reporting tools like Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams across design, engineering, operations, commercial and finance.
• Manage project governance, programme control, cost forecasting and risk management.
• Oversee commercial and contract management with appointed contractors and service partners.
• Ensure outputs meet safety, quality, regulatory and technical standards.
• Maintain risk and opportunity registers and provide regular reporting and escalation.
• Coordinate reviews and lessons learned to drive improvements.
