EDF Energy is seeking three Delivery Managers for the Hinkley Point C project, a pivotal nuclear energy initiative in the UK. This role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring project delivery aligns with safety and quality standards. Candidates should possess strong project management skills, relevant qualifications, and the ability to thrive in complex environments. Join us in powering the future and achieving Net Zero together.
Are you ready to lead and inspire in one of the most exciting and impactful projects in the UK?
We are looking for three Delivery Managers to join the HPC Project Delivery Directorate, responsible for delivering key Balance of Plant scope.
Join us and be part of a project that powers the future.
The Opportunity
At Hinkley Point C (HPC), we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low-carbon electricity for around six million homes. HPC is a vital part of the UK’s future energy strategy. As the first of the UK’s next-generation nuclear power stations, HPC is both high-profile and complex. Its delivery relies on innovative engineering, construction, and strong leadership. This post is a key leadership position within the Delivery organisation, working within the Conventional Island and Balance of Plant (CI/BOP) Senior Leadership Team. The incumbent will lead the delivery of scope within the CI/BOP Area, ensuring, through leading Multi-Disciplinary Teams, the successful safe and coordinated delivery across the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases to meet the HPC schedule.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Delivery Manager, you will lead the end-to-end scope in one of three areas: BOP4 Auxiliary Buildings and Power Transmission, BOP2 Transverse Equipment, or BOP2 Access and Ancillary Buildings.
You’ll manage strategic relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
You’ll define and implement strategies across all phases of construction to ensure successful delivery, working closely with programme teams to maintain an overview of project progress and share best practices.
You will proactively identify, analyze, and manage schedule risks, lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams, and oversee contract and package activities to ensure safety, quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
Regular monitoring of programme performance, tracking milestones, deadlines, and budgets, and providing timely stakeholder updates will be key responsibilities.
Who You Are
You have a strong background in Project Management, supported by professional qualifications such as the APM PPQ or similar. A degree and chartered status in construction, engineering, or related fields are desirable, but proven experience is paramount.
You understand EPR design and have successfully delivered major projects in complex, fast-paced environments. Your leadership inspires teams to deliver results.
You are familiar with NEC and FIDIC contracts and uphold high standards of quality and assurance, especially in a nuclear context.
With stakeholder engagement experience, you excel in building relationships, managing expectations, and aligning interests. Your project, financial, and change management skills are robust, complemented by facilitation abilities.
You are proficient with estimating, scheduling, risk management tools, and have excellent communication skills—persuasive, influential, and facilitative. Building and maintaining networks comes naturally to you.
Knowledge of French and familiarity with CDM Regulations are advantageous assets.
Closing date for applications is Friday 6th June.
