Job summary

Waitrose & Partners is looking for Customer Delivery Drivers to bring quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service to customers' doors. You’ll work as part of a friendly team, starting in-store for routes and packing your van for efficient deliveries, while maintaining vehicle safety checks and delivering excellent service.

Role involves helping customers, building rapport, and supporting shop tasks when not on the road.

Qualifications

• Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6-points.
• Great customer service skills.
• Time management skills.
• Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g. lifting of crates, moving cages).
• Comfortable working independently with the ability to be self motivated and adaptable.
• IT literate.

Responsibilities

• You’ll typically start your day in store and you'll be responsible for:
• Checking your delivery routes for the day.
• Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together and can be efficiently delivered directly to customers.
• Ensuring all of the appropriate vehicle safety checks are complete on your van, maintaining full road compliance, health and safety.
• Being an ambassador for the Waitrose brand while on the road with great customer service as your number one priority.
• Helping customers with their shopping and building a rapport with them based on trust and service.
• Supporting the wider shop team when required with general shopkeeping tasks.
