Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver for the Waitrose part of the business. You’ll deliver quality produce to customers’ doors while upholding high standards of service and brand representation.

You’ll also support shop tasks and stock replenishment when not on the road. A Night Premium of £3.75 per hour applies for hours between 22:00 and 06:00, and the role requires a full manual B-Category driving licence with minimal penalty points.

Qualifications

• Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6-points.
• Excellent customer service and time-management skills.
• Physically capable of lifting crates and moving cages.

Responsibilities

• Check delivery routes for the day.
• Load and prepare the van for deliveries and ensure orders are together for direct customer delivery.
• Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain road compliance and safety.
• Be an ambassador for the Waitrose brand with customer service as a priority.
• Assist customers with shopping and build trust-based rapport.
• Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as needed.
