Job summary

John Lewis Partnership’s Waitrose & Partners is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver to bring our quality produce and partner-led service directly to customers’ doors. You’ll load deliveries, check routes, and maintain vehicle safety while delivering excellent service.

The role includes varied, part-time hours across the week and a Night Premium of £3.75 per hour for shifts between 22:00 and 06:00. Applicants must be 18+, hold a full UK B-category license with few points, and be able to lift crates

Qualifications

• Full valid UK B-category manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good time management and organisational abilities.
• Ability to cope with physical aspects of the role (lifting crates, moving cages).
• Independent, self-motivated and adaptable with basic IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Check daily delivery routes and plan the day.
• Load and prepare the van, ensuring orders are ready for direct delivery to customers.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks and maintain road safety compliance.
• Act as a brand ambassador with a focus on customer service.
