Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is hiring a Part-time Customer Delivery Driver to bring Waitrose quality straight to customers' doors. You’ll join a friendly team, handling deliveries and supporting shop tasks to keep the operation smooth.

Ideal candidates will have a clean B-category UK driving licence, strong customer service, and the ability to work flexibly across early starts and evenings. You’ll be physically capable and IT-literate, thriving in a supportive community.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid B-category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Strong time management abilities are essential.
• Be physically able to lift crates and move cages as part of the role.
• Able to work independently with motivation and adaptability.
• Proficient with IT and basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Check delivery routes for the day.
• Load and prepare the van for deliveries and ensure orders are delivered to customers.
• Complete vehicle safety checks and maintain road compliance.
• Represent the Waitrose brand with high levels of customer service on the road.
• Assist customers and build rapport through trusted service.
• Support the shop team with general tasks when required.
