Job summary

The John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver for Waitrose in Lichfield. You will deliver fresh produce to customers’ doors and assist at the shop when not on the road, helping keep stock and maintaining a welcoming shop environment.

The role offers a £3.75 night premium (22:00–06:00) and requires a full UK B-category driving licence, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role (lifting crates, moving cages).
• Comfortable working independently with self-motivation and adaptability.
• IT literate.

Responsibilities

• Checking delivery routes for the day.
• Loading and preparing van for deliveries and ensuring orders are delivered to customers.
• Carrying out vehicle safety checks and maintaining road compliance.
• Representing the brand with excellent customer service on the road.
• Assisting customers with shopping and building rapport.
• Supporting shop colleagues with general tasks when required.
