Job summary

Waitrose & Partners is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring quality Waitrose products directly to customers’ doors. You’ll support the shop team with daily tasks and uphold our ethos of Partner-led service and friendly, reliable operations.

You’ll handle deliveries, assist customers, and maintain van readiness for routes. The role emphasizes independent work, excellent customer service, and physical fitness to manage crates and cages.

Qualifications

• Full valid UK manual driving licence (B category) with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, helpful approach.
• Strong time management and the ability to prioritise.
• Able to cope with physical aspects of the role (lifting crates, moving cages).
• Capable of working independently with self-motivation and adaptability.
• IT literate and comfortable using basic software and devices.

Responsibilities

• Check daily delivery routes and plan efficient in-home deliveries.
• Load and prepare the van for deliveries and ensure orders reach customers in good condition.
• Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain road compliance and safety.
• Represent the Waitrose brand with a strong focus on customer service.
• Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
• Support the shop team with general duties when needed.
