Job summary

Waitrose & Partners is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring quality Waitrose produce and partner-led service directly to customers’ doors. You will support in-store tasks when not delivering and help keep the shop running smoothly in a friendly, team-focused environment.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, driving responsibilities, and flexibility, with DBS checks possible for certain roles. Candidates must be 18+ and able to work independently.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with valid category B and up to 6 penalty points.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good time management and ability to work independently.
• Able to handle physical tasks like lifting crates and moving items.
• Self-motivated and adaptable with the ability to work on your own.
• Proficient in IT and basic computer/phone usage.
• Familiarity with GPS/navigation tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily delivery routes and check them at start of day.
• Load and prepare the van for deliveries ensuring orders are complete.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks and maintain road compliance and safety.
• Represent Waitrose on the road with a focus on high-quality service.
• Assist customers and build rapport through trust and service.
• Support the shop team with general tasks as needed.
