Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a committed Post Person with Driving in Birmingham to be the face of the service in the community. You will deliver letters and parcels across your round, driving a van and sometimes delivering on foot, while maintaining safety and high service standards.

Shifts vary and may require working outdoors. A full UK driving licence with limited points is essential; passing a driving assessment is required on start.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Physical fitness to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of a van, and carry mailbag up to 16kg.
• Flexibility to adapt shifts at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels along your delivery round.
• Drive a Royal Mail van and complete parts of your route on foot.
• Ensure safe, secure delivery of all items in line with Royal Mail standards.
