Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Post Person with Driving to deliver letters and parcels in your local area. You will drive a Royal Mail van, with parts of the route completed on foot, and provide top-notch service to customers on every stop.

The role requires a full UK manual driving licence, a high level of fitness for walking long distances, and the ability to work flexible shifts. You may pass a driving assessment when you start.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16 kg.
• Shifts can vary and require adaptability at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as a Royal Mail post person with driving duties.
• Drive your round and occasionally deliver parts of the route on foot.
• Ensure items reach destinations safely and securely in all weather.
• Handle and deliver election materials and certain restricted items per policy.
