Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Delivery Driver in Horley on a flexible (temporary) basis. You will drive a Royal Mail van and deliver letters and parcels in your community, with some walking on your route. The role combines outdoor activity with high service standards and flexibility to work varying shifts.

Be prepared to pass a driving assessment at start. The position offers shift pay rates and potential progression where available. This is a temporary role with possibility to become permanent.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, enter/exit the van, and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; ability to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as a Post Person with Driving, covering your route by van and on foot.
• Securely deliver all items on your route, including election materials or food/alcohol with Royal Mail standards.
