Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking flexible (temporary) delivery drivers for community-based post rounds. You will be the face of Royal Mail, delivering letters and parcels across your area, driving a van and completing portions of the route on foot to ensure timely, secure delivery.

Shifts vary (day, dawn, early, evening, late, nights) with competitive hourly rates. This temporary role can become permanent in some cases, offering a dynamic and active work environment.

Qualifications

• Driving licence: Full, manual UK licence with up to 6 points.
• Physical fitness: able to walk ~20,000 steps per day and carry mailbags up to 16 kg.
• Flexibility: shifts vary; ability to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your delivery area, with a mix of driving and foot work.
• Drive a Royal Mail van and complete parts of your route on foot while maintaining high service standards.
• Securely deliver all items and comply with Royal Mail handling rules, including election materials where required.
