Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals for flexible temporary postal delivery driver roles. As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll deliver letters and parcels in your community, combining driving with foot patrols to complete your route.

You’ll walk up to 20,000 steps daily, load and unload mailbags up to 16 kg, and adapt to varying shift patterns. A driving assessment is required on starting, with competitive pay rates for different shifts.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels on your route, driving a Royal Mail van and walking sections of your rounds.
• Handle and deliver election materials and certain items like food products or alcohol in line with Royal Mail standards.
• Pass a driving assessment at start and work flexibly to meet community needs.
