Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking a 3.5t Delivery Driver based in Rochdale. You will carry out multi-drop deliveries within a 50 mile radius, building strong customer relationships and acting as a positive ambassador for the Wolseley brand.

Key duties include daily safety checks, handling loads, warehouse support when not on deliveries, and adhering to branch procedures. A full UK manual licence is required.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential
• 3.5t multidrop driving is advantageous
• Familiar with using a handheld PDA
• Prior warehouse experience is preferred
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to branch needs

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5t van for multi-drop deliveries within a 50 mile radius of the Rochdale branch
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers, representing the Wolseley brand
• Perform daily vehicle and load safety checks and report defects
• Load and unload deliveries as required
• Assist in the warehouse with stock handling, picking, packing and tidying when not on deliveries

Role Summary

You will be a 3.5t Delivery Driver based in Rochdale.

Responsibilities

• Driving a 3.5t van carrying out multi -drop deliveries to our customers within a 50 mile radius of the branch (This will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks, and toilets)
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers ensuring you are a positive ambassador of the brand
• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment, and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects
• Loading and unloading deliveries where required
• When you are not out on deliveries you will be assisting in the warehouse with duties including unloading incoming stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks, and general tidying

Contract & Hours

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm and 1 in 3 Saturday's 08.00am - 12.00pm.

Requirements

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential
• Previous 3.5t multidrop driving is advantageous
• To be familiar with using a handheld PDA
