Job summary

William Wilson in Inverness is seeking a skilled HGV Driver to join our team in the Inverness area. You will drive an 18 tonne truck, deliver materials to building sites, and support on-site deliveries to branches.

You will handle goods safely, provide great customer service to plumbers on-site, and keep the transport team informed of delivery issues. This full-time role is 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a competitive package and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong customer relationships.
• A class 2 license and CPC training completed.

Responsibilities

• Drive an 18 tonne truck to deliver materials to building sites.
• Load/unload vehicles and supply on-site deliveries to branches.
• Ensure goods are handled safely and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service when dealing with plumbers on-site.
• Call into the office with delivery issues to keep the transport team updated.

As a HGV Driver based in Inverness you’ll be responsible for:

• Driving a 18 tonne truck
• Delivering materials to building sites, which includes loading and unloading vehicles
• Supplying on-site deliveries to branches
• Ensuring goods are handled safely and efficiently
• Providing exceptional customer service when dealing with plumbers on-site
• Calling into the office with any delivery issues, keeping the transport team up to date

This is a full-time, permanent role working 42.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

And here's what we'd like you to have:

• Previous HGV driving experience
• Excellent communication skills and to be able to build strong relationships with customers
• A class 2 license
• A digital taco card and to have completed your CPC training
