Job summary

Babcock in Rosyth, Scotland, is seeking a Welder to join a defence-focused team delivering complex fabrication for naval programmes. You'll work at our Rosyth site on 39 hours weekly with a rotational 12-hour day/night pattern, using MIG, MAG, TIG and other processes to meet exact quality standards.

The role requires Level 3 Welder qualification or equivalent, and you must be able to obtain SC security clearance.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Welder qualification or equivalent extensive experience.
• Experience with MIG/MAG/TIG/MMA processes and fabrications.
• Proven ability to work in highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding using specialist processes to exact quality standards.
• Set up and maintain welding equipment per procedures.
• Carry out visual inspections to ensure weld quality.
• Monitor temperatures and manage pre-heating activities.
• Support continuous improvement and report faults.
