Babcock at Rosyth is seeking a Welder to perform demanding welding and fabrication tasks on naval defence programmes, including missile tube assemblies for UK Successor and US Ohio-class projects.

Role involves 39 hours per week on a rotational 12-hour day/night shift, working in a highly regulated engineering environment with opportunities for professional growth within a global defence and aerospace organisation.

Formación

• Level 3 qualified Welder or indentured apprenticeship in welding.
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as marine/defence is desirable.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety and technical excellence.

Responsabilidades

• Perform welding activities using specialist processes to exact quality standards.
• Set up and operate welding equipment per approved procedures.
• Conduct visual weld inspections to ensure conformance to specs.
• Monitor temperatures with digital/thermal equipment and manage pre-heating.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by completing equipment checks and reporting faults.
