Job summary

Babcock International is recruiting a Welder for its Rosyth site to support major defence projects, including submarine components and missile tube assemblies. This hands‑on role focuses on complex fabrication and precision welding within a regulated environment, offering long‑term career development.

You will work a 39‑hour week on a rotational 12‑hour day/night shift, using a range of welding processes and subject to SC security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience using welding processes (MIG, MAG, TIG, MMA, Tip‑Tig or pulsed GMAW‑P).
• Ability to set up welding equipment and prepare accessories.
• Proven structural welding experience.
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as naval/defence or energy.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding activities to exact quality standards.
• Set up and maintain welding equipment per procedures.
• Conduct visual weld inspections to meet specifications.
• Monitor temperatures and manage pre‑heating activities.
• Support continuous improvement by reporting faults.
