Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director/Project Director - Quantity Surveyor Defence to lead cost management on complex defence schemes within our Defence business. You will act as Commission Manager, delivering end-to-end cost control, procurement, and reporting for major programmes.

The role requires a Sole UK National with the ability to obtain MoD Security Clearance (SC); hybrid working, client site presence ~60% and close collaboration with senior teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in estimating, cost planning and value engineering for major defence/infrastructure projects.
• Strong client facing communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Commission Manager responsibilities for large/complex commissions.
• Interface with client and other consultants to meet objectives and deliver value-added cost management.
• Develop and implement new cost management procedures, templates and tools to improve service.
• Mentor and lead the cost management team to deliver cost plans, reports and final accounts.
• Oversee procurement processes from pre-qualification to contract award and cost reporting.
