Job summary

Amey invites applications for the MITER Plant Operator role at Beacon Barracks, Stafford. This 12-month contract offers on-site work with potential for permanency and requires operating Plant and MHE, with training provided if you hold a Category C (HGV) licence.

Be prepared to work independently, manage workload under pressure, and meet customer needs while supporting our MOD contract. In addition, the role promotes career growth within Amey.

Qualifications

• Experience operating plant and/or MHE is advantageous but training is provided if you hold a Category C (HGV) licence.
• Military experience is advantageous but not required; military reservist training is offered.
• You should be able to work independently, stay calm under pressure and prioritise workload.
• Understand customer needs and deliver reliable service.

Responsibilities

• Keep Plant Logbook up to date reflecting qualifications, experience and hours.
• Maintain and service military and commercial Plant and MHE; deploy on operations.
• Carry out first, halt and last parade service on Plant and MHE.
• Report faults promptly and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Drive and operate Plant and MHE in UK and on deployment as a Sponsored Reserve.
• Load/unload Plant and MHE on/off transporters/rail flats.
• Complete all related job/service documentation with signatures and customer verification.
