Job summary

Amey is recruiting a MITER Maintainer for a 12-month contract based at Beacon Barracks, Stafford. The role covers service and maintenance of diesel and MOTS adapted MHE and Plant vehicles, with a focus on safety and uptime.

40 hours per week with site-based duties and clear communication with clients and the technical team. The ideal candidate will hold HGV C licence, Level 3 Apprenticeship in a related engineering field, and substantial hands-on maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• HGV Category C is essential.
• Level 3 Apprenticeship (C&G or NVQ) in a related engineering function.
• Significant experience in a related engineering role (e.g., Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Plant Fitter).

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain diesel and MOTS adapted MHE and Plant vehicles.
• Liaise with controller and customer on work range, timescales and costs.
• Identify root causes and source parts cost-effectively with available resources.
• Inspect and verify equipment safety and performance before handing back to customers.
• Advise customers on any further work and potential revenue opportunities.
• Complete service documentation with customer signatures and required paperwork.
